Life without Ikea, Part V - The Final Chapter (The Carpenter)

I know you have all been eagerly following the riveting series, “Life without Ikea.” I will now finish it off with the grand finale, entitled "The Carpenter."

In the stove adventure, I mentioned a carpenter who I hired to make a custom table for the stove. After seeing his good work (and good price!) and still not finding an Ikea around here, I designed a few more pieces for him to make. A custom-made bureau, bookshelf, table and two nightstands – all for $150. How can you beat that? I'm really getting spoiled with all this custom-made furniture. I'm not sure I'll be able to shop at Ikea ever again!
