Very soon! The metal sheets blocking off our construction site have now been removed, and you can now see our beautiful house in all its glory. Meaning it's no longer a construction site, but a house! About to be lived in.
We are hoping to move this coming weekend. The 19th is a holiday in Nicaragua, so we'll have a long weekend in which to get settled. There are still a few minor details to work out (installing hot water heater, mirrors in the bathrooms, etc.) and there will continue to be for a while I am sure. But once the main things are ready, we will move on in. We can't wait! We've already started moving some things over to the house, and I've spent this weekend packing so that we can move more stuff over during the week. Then I hope that Friday can be our final official move, in which we bring all the necessities with us to start living there.

We've had some good rains lately which has been great for getting all the leaks identified and fixed (there have been a bunch!). And there is still work to be done on the gutters. Our contractor is now super-eager to be done with this project, and is not really invested in it anymore, so she installed these really chintzy cheap yellow plastic chains to direct the water down to the ground. They looked absolutely ridiculous! Juxtaposed with the beauty and elegance of the rest of the house, it was really rather amusing. We've now had them replaced with some stronger, more appropriate chains:
However, there is still work to be done on the whole rainwater direction issue. But the house is beautiful, and here's a shot of the pool at night:
